Graphic Designer for Corporate Marketing

Advantage Media Group|ForbesBooks has an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer/Web Designer with experience in corporate marketing design. Advantage|ForbesBooks works with top tier business professionals to position, promote, and market them as the thought leader and expert in their industry, community, or marketplace.

The mission of the Graphic Designer/Web Designer is to work with Advantage|ForbesBooks’ Corporate Marketing team to develop and design marketing deliverables in an effort to expand the company’s reach and improve its standing in the public space. This individual will also be responsible for overseeing and executing company-facing design tasks for internal and external events, digital ads and printed collateral. This person will manage the upkeep of internal assets and corporate website design, updating and maintenance for, as well as the rollout for six personal brand pages for the Practice Chairs. You must be a highly creative, innovative designer capable of producing design work that rivals the quality of Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur and other Fortune 500 companies.

First impressions are everything when trying to attract new members, especially when a business professional is looking to invest in his/her business. You must continually strive to improve the creative design process and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative environment.

The outcomes expected of this individual are:

  • Design collateral for internal and external events. With several Member-focused, internal events per year, you will be responsible for designing all invitations, websites, programs, signage and other collateral to make the event a success. With our sales team attending about 30 tradeshows a year, you will also be asked to design forms and compelling collateral for the booth to attract new high quality leads.
  • Manage the upkeep of two major corporate sites. Our two main sites and need minor updates everyday, including uploading new books, authors, and resource offers. You will also manage the rollout of personal brand websites for our Practice Chairs.
  • Create digital ads and direct mail ads. Social media ads, postcards, and other lead generation material is something we are creating monthly, testing out new call to actions, copy and images. You must be able to think on your feet for quick turnaround on these projects.
  • Assist Graphic Design and Web Design team with other projects. While most of your time will be spent with the corporate marketing team, if there is a lull in new projects, you will be “loaned out” to our graphic design team who works on book covers and Member projects.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related major
  • Minimum of two years graphic design working experience
  • Experience inUX/UI design a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of graphic design, design principles, layout, composition, and color
  • A high degree of conceptual creativity for corporate marketing and brand design.and acute attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task.
  • Experience with Wordpress development, CRM software (specifically Salesforce and Pardot integration) and coding.
  • Detailed knowledge and technical proficiency with offset printing and pre-press requirements
  • Mastery of skills with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Dreamweaver and WordPress experience a plus.

Candidates will be required to show a portfolio, demonstrating relevant experience and skills.

Position is in our Charleston, SC office. Team Members are eligible for benefits package after a 3 month review.
