Forbes Books has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Brand & Media Specialist with expertise in managing high-dollar Members working with a cross-functional team. Advantage works with top-tier business professionals to position, promote, and market them as the Authority in their industry, community, or marketplace. The Senior Brand & Media Specialists are central to forging and cultivating all Member relationships. They navigate and expertly weave together all elements of the authority-building process to maximize the potential of every Member’s authority journey. They are trusted guides who work with subject matter experts to keep members on the right path to achieving their goals.

The Senior Brand & Media Specialists exist because there are complex moving parts that need informed decision-making and orchestration and because the Member needs to be free of these to focus on being an Authority. They exist because the opportunities (for building Authority), the solutions (the path to get there), and even the resources and priorities (of the Member) are fluid. Authority Advisors are trusted partners who leverage exceptional relational skills and unwavering commitment to drive Member satisfaction and retention.

Expected Outcomes

  • Serves as authority project lead for 35 +/- members. Our C-level members require precise execution of publishing and marketing deliverables. You will organize, plan and manage the execution of deliverables with various internal and external teams. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage timing, budget, and scope changes.
  • Ensure >95% of project milestones are delivered on time to the member. Manage the prioritization and workflow of all projects to ensure target timelines can be achieved with executional excellence. Communicate client details internally and externally to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Proactively work with senior-level team members in consulting and coaching members about ways to amplify their results and intended outcomes through our systems and programs. In the process, extending or expanding the client relationships.  Success will be reflected by a member’s retention and overall satisfaction with our authority building programs.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • 5+ years of experience in account management or a related field; ideally in a marketing, advertising, or media agency environment.
  • Experience managing a book of business and previous experience driving revenue through client retention and account renewal and upsell efforts.
  • Must have a passion for account management. A proven track record of success in managing clients/projects/campaigns is a MUST.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, able to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Must be resourceful and able to overcome obstacles on his/her own.
  • Superior communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Previous experience working directly with clients at the C-Suite level.
  • Flexibility to change and adapt to new processes, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • 4-year degree required.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This is a remote-enabled position.  This role regularly uses a laptop as well as online cloud-based file management systems (such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) and participates in online video-based (Zoom, Google Meet) calls. This role may, on occasion, need to use standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone. Near visual acuity is required in order to work with computers.

Our office is located in Charleston, South Carolina. Position reports to the Director of Member Experience. Team Members are eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits on the first day of the month after thirty (30) days of employment. All other benefits are eligible at ninety (90) days of employment.
